READ – Rights Education and Development Centre promotes entrepreneurship among marginalised communities, particularly Dalit and tribal populations, to strengthen economic independence and sustainable livelihoods. Many aspiring entrepreneurs from these communities face challenges such as lack of business awareness, limited financial access, poor market exposure, and absence of professional networks. To bridge this gap, READ supports selected individuals and community groups in Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and Maharashtra through entrepreneurship development initiatives and grant support. The program focuses on building confidence, improving business knowledge, and creating opportunities for income generation. READ also facilitates networking, mentoring, and market linkages to help first-generation entrepreneurs sustain and expand their enterprises. Through collaboration with corporate partners and community institutions, READ aims to create inclusive economic opportunities and empower marginalised communities towards self-reliance and social dignity.
