READ – Rights Education and Development Centre works through CSR collaborations to strengthen school infrastructure and improve access to quality education for children from underserved communities. READ supports government and community schools by creating safe, inclusive, and child-friendly learning environments. At Thaiyur Government School, Chennai, READ is constructing additional classrooms to address increasing student enrollment and limited infrastructure capacity. At St. John De Britto Girls High School, computers and furniture were provided to strengthen digital learning and improve students’ technology access. READ also supported painting and campus beautification at a Government Tribal Residential (GTR) Middle School to create a more engaging learning environment. Repair and maintenance works were carried out at a Government School in Tiruppur to improve classroom safety and usability. At Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Mampakkam, READ is constructing hygienic toilet facilities and establishing a science laboratory to improve sanitation and promote practical learning. Through these initiatives, READ continues to strengthen educational infrastructure and create supportive spaces that encourage learning, attendance, and student well-being.
